Opinion Control and Popular Gullibility

South Africans lack sight. Black, White,Coloured, India, Nama, etc. They lack insight, hindsight, foresight. They are a gullible lot who has been dancing to the tune of the Press for as long as this Writer have been aware. And that's long, yo.
Let's start with the recent major events.
Bell Pottinger is now a buzzword. Along with the Guptas, ANN7 and The New Age. These people have been getting ousted of South Africa for reasons the public is being duped to believe. Do you people think that Huffington Post (a Media 24 subsidiary) News24 and SABC are benevolent honest media companies? Are they ousting the competition, not because of profit or control, but for our better good? Have these same companies not been attempting to overthrow our democraticaly elected president for many years?
When Julius Malema and Andile Mngxitama tried to get Cyril Ramaphosa to account for Marikana, were these people not blocked at every turn? What kind of President do we want? Because the truth is none of these men and women at the top are clean. It is a long list of compromised South African leadership.   Character assassination has been the weapon that international parties have been using to keep the SA public distracted while they do the real work of colonialism. Was disturbed to see Ferial Haffajee of Media 24( forgive any spelling errata) call Bell Pottinger "neocolonisers" while we hear little of the sustained colonization of our mines and press.

We would like the South African to rally against Cyril Ramaphosa, who was complicit in the Marikana Massacre. We would like the South African aware of how the man they want as future president is a European pawn, as are many of his associates. It is not popular press that Tokyo Sexwale's name pops up a few times in Truth and Reconciliation Commision reports about Chris Hani's murder. The real story, almost completely denied by the press, save for the M&G, is that Hani was killed because he had found out about corruption in weapons and nuclear trades involving Europe and South Africa. Walusz and Derby Lewis are the patsies who are there to shut the story up. International investigation proved that another person was the actual trigger man.But Hani was not the only one to die for this story. This, too, is not popular in the media.

Fast forward to 2012, and Lonmin Mines are still in SA, shooting resistance in the back. We look and the same racist Chamber of Mines is still firmly in control of our coal, uranium, gold and platinum. At no point during our liberation did we actually destroy the tools of Apartheid and Western exploitation. At no point did the press question how the ANC could afford such an extravagant election. Spoiler: the were backed by the CIA. Search our blog for the journal report from 1995.

We transitioned, apparently peacefully, into "The New South Africa" while the shacks surrounding the many mines of SA didnt move an inch.   Unlike Zimbabwe, South Africa did not explitly try to take back the land from foreign ownership. Instead, tons of money was thrown into legal processes that the landless cannot afford. To this day, more Africans are poor in this country than ever. We lose more teachers every year because we are not rewarding them. And that means a dumber South African after 12 years in the "education" system.

We are not fighting the enemies that need fighting. Our courts of Law are so European in complicity that they still wear Euro-style robes and wigs. Way to transform, guys. As we tweet against Nepalese entrepreneurs who have been here since 1993, we are missing out the simple fact that Johann Rupert has been asilent and influencial part of this assassination of the competition.
This Writer suggests a lockout of all exploitation. From the mines, to our press, to our agriculture. Anglo American, must get out! The French and Germans who own the farms on the Western Cape Garden Route  have been controlling grapes, oranges and our land for so long, uncontested and uninterrupted. The Americans and British who have been all but stealing our mineral resources are treated like esteemed investors instead of the exploiters they are.   Lest we forget that the Rand Merchant Bank, Old Mutual, ABSA et al are controlling what are our South African Rand means. We are not secure. We have been insecure since the 1800s and even our Internet age seems powerless against such entrenched colonialism.   Yet when a South African public is so quick to believe a few letters on a newspaper page, when the spirit of research and inquiry is all but not, who will save us? Because this is a hole in our already weak armour. The enemies of South African ascendancy will not help us become independent. They will use our gullibility and manipulability against us.

Can you blame our Journalists for being complicit? This Writer does. We are well aware that Content Producers need to eat. We know that eTV, Media 24 and its subsidiaries pay you to write stories. But where is our revolutionary press? Notice how they could not attack the work output of ANN7 and the New Age? They had to attack the owners. Because when it comes down to it, the work of the Gupta companies was actually valuable. But nothing gets the South African more excited than another JAcob Zuma corruption story. Everyone associated or even close to being associated was dragged down. It is no surprise, then that Media 24 raked in profits for 2016 financial year. Keep an eye out fo ther 2017 annual report.   Oh, and what about the seemingly uninteresting topic of White Monopoly? Will our companies ever be Black owned? When do we fight entrenched boardroom racism? Will Media 24 ever be Black owned? Unlikely.

Check out that Board of Directors at Media 24. Real rainbow nation right here. Because the truth is, when you run the Press, you decide what is known and what is not. People dont care to remember who stepped down in 2015 and was replaced. That is for the money men to be concerned about. People care about what you tell them to care about. And that is why this Writer motivates deep research into our Press, our Mines and our Land. The real fight isnt with the Guptas or Zuma. That is ust click-bait to distract and entertain. They keep you eating from their hand while they keep raking in the billions.   We have a long way to go before South Africa is truly independent. But if we keep falling for these simple weapons of mass distraction, the journey will be even longer.

  1. This is brilliant. Thank you for posting again. Apart from people such as yourself, I see NO independent ANYTHING in the 'arts'. Everything has been captured by mainstream tentacles. And for those who THINK, who are subsequently being tied down due to economic pressures, find it difficult to link up. 'We shall overcome'. ;-)

  2. Aaah. ngiyanibonga. My brain has collected so many. burn. marks.(ongoing Salut!Helge Janssen). Our so very smart world has divided us. So neatly. Brutally. We are all myopic over our text boxes. We wouldn't recognise each other on the street. *sigh* . Yes. And yes to neuroplasticity. And age corrects myopia. I know surely. I am not alone. Though my tourette's makes me repeat other words. We will keep on carrying on carrying each other. Turn by turn. Until we all arrive. Together in the same place. Looking at each other long long last. Found. Our country.
