#Fees Must Fall. Ngempela

There are many videos and pictures about what's going on in UCT and the education issue. This education issue is all about fees, gentrification and the growing exclusionary culture that has shown it's face at so many institutions. There are many newspapers in KwaZulu that show that Durban University of Technology has been striking and protesting this issue for so many years.  It's always just a text blurb in a local newspaper. These issues are as old as the new South Africa. And we need to know that this is real, this is happening and it cannot stand.

"There are two ignorant assumptions. Firstly that the fees "fell". I don't believe this is true. Management have only postponed the decision and nothing has fallen yet. And secondly the assumption that Wits students achieved something by being more 'civilized' and negotiating is also ignorant as it seeks firstly to police black rage and secondly to demonize those student from other campuses who chose to fight, physically at times. To me this image also seems to push the ignorant idea that those blacks who go to historically black institutions are less 'rational' and 'civilized' than those who go to historically white institutions like Wits.
