Frontlines

The idea was simple.
To make a Chaotic Front party happen.
Poetic Terrorism. Occult Assault on mediocrity and laziness. Creative Chaos.
We’d meet up, make something special.
I envisioned a hypersigil, as Ashley would put it. A large scale spell that involved ritual and/or symbols. I liked the idea of people gathering for a creative engagement. Not necessarily drunk to the hilt and bumbling incoherent nothings. At this party that I’d host, we’d birth, not kill.

As time went on, ideas would surface, and it soon became clear that the will and influence of the Chaotic Front spread wider than expected. Within days we’d settled on a working date. Events that were awaiting activation now had a channel. I do not want it forgotten that the spaces that me and my friends frequent are in-city Temporary Autonomous Zones. Anarchy is about shaping your future. And now, 2 days before the happening of a vision formulated only  months ago, but finally given fly, we have it. AWEH! KZNSA somehow found their way into the business of enabling local Anarchists to paint, perform and grow their own zones. We’re happy to see the Artists of Durban showing face.

The traffic at the Green Camp Gallery has increased. That space has shown its self to be an attractive gem to those who seek to shape the future rather than just wait for it. uXolani Hlongwa, the Director and Owner of the Green Camp Gallery, is showing the city how to reclaim and re-invigorate. Short man. Long vision.  So we’d discussed making things happen there since last year. He’d been running in elliptical orbits trying to secure the space that would help him shape the future.I liked his vision and as the months went by, his plans and works came together.
And one day, with one Facebook post, we’d somehow ended up with a Dub DJ from Cyprus/London and Poets from the highest echelon of South African entertainment, waiting to bless the space. The space is going to blow minds open, I tell you. When you see the hypersigil as it is formed, activated and given room to take, you’ll know. Magick isn’t far from you.
The Chaotic Front is pleased to have friends such as the Green Camp and AWEH! KZNSA. The work of building and sustaining Creativity is daunting. We can handle it, though.

Check out the links below for all info.  I shall be there.  Yes. It's the same event. Much is happening. Many heads are joined. It is many in one. The phalanx of Creatives.

If you read this blog post, tell me the words: "Information, not decisions." when we meet. I'll have a gift for you.

To all my Creative friends. Raheem KemetIam NutscratchersMenzi MasekoNivesh RawatlalAshley Jewnarain. I'm thinking of doing a‪#‎ChaoticFront‬ party at Cool Runnings Durban. Wanna sit around for some herbs and libations to discuss this? I want you people in on it. In and out of town lately, so I want to produce much in my times when I am here.

  1. Funny, isn't it, that we never made it to Cool Runnings. Maybe next time...

  2. Every happening has a reason, the Green Camp might have needed this more than Cool Runnings, You might have needed some misdirection to be redirected. :-)
