Manufactured Disorder:The Machinations of Control

The military mentality is a bandit and raider mentality. Thus, all military represents form of organized banditry where the conventional mores do not prevail./ The military is a way of rationalizing murder, rape, looting, and other forms of theft which are always accepted as part of warfare. When denied an outside target, the military mentality always turns against its own civilian population, using identical rationalizations for bandit behavior.

Something I've been considering for some time now: Do they leave it to chance? To what extent do the powers that be engineer the future? Why (do) conditioning and social engineering not encompass social revolutions that seemingly oppose their programmes and their vision's evolution? People need movement even if it is merely an illusion, society must move but that does not mean that it is not to their detriment or stagnation. The feminist movement, for example, was orchestrated for the purposes of negating and fighting the other half of the population for basic inalienable rights.

So why not other social revolutions. Who do they tax and challenge in the name of "progress?" Is chaos really chaos? And is their idea of 'chaos' the same as yours? What if their chaos is in accordance to intended disorder much to the ignorance of the masses?

When speaking of Chaos in popular media, it is never displayed as a creative thing. it is always used to harbour and proliferate fear and docility. When people hear "chaos," they don't think "opportunity." But risk engineers and policy scientists know that within chaos, lies control. And it is these people that I warn you of, my friends.

Chaos is creative energy. It can be used for good or evil. This energy, when used well,  will find expression through the Arts and high Sciences. Chaos, understood this way, is a source. a creative nexus. Orchestrated revolutions, coups and economic downfalls are not chaos, my friends. They are constructed and made to fulfil certain ends.

The economic meltdowns of Greece and the USA were not accidents or unpredictable phenomena. the 'chaos' in the streets and lives of people was not chaotic. it was a predictable outcome from terrible economic policies. These policies created social stratifications that were unsustainable, destructive and entropic. The crashing of stock exchanges and capitalist economic engines is not a mistake. I remember seeing Trevor Manuel on TV, just after the announcement of the crash of Wall Street. he was in New York and looked terrible. Sandbags under his red, unslept eyes. I paraphrase him when I say: with all the technology and intellect in that room right now, i'm very sure people saw this coming. But they sure didn't speak about it. maybe because they wanetd it to seem "chaotic' and random. But any Economist knows, there's real randomness, and then there's manufactured randomness.Nicholas Taleb has made this abundantly clear. Black Swan events are actually very rare! According to Taleb, they can be recognised in these 3 ways:

1. The event is a surprise (to the observer).
2. The event has a major effect.
3. After the first recorded instance of the event, it is rationalized by hindsight, as if it could have been expected; that is, the relevant data were available but unaccounted for in risk mitigation programs. The same is true for the personal perception by individuals.

With all the tools of calculation available to us, we can predict and see the outcome of much of our policies way before they actually materialize. I repeat, Black Swan events are very rare.  Much has been disguised as Black Swan events. Sometimes it's overt, sometimes more covert. It is no secret that wars make money at the cost of life. The Earth suffers, the poor suffer and the few elites get richer.
Yet, when rebellion pops up, as a direct effect of being attacked,  it is seen as societal disorder or collapse. When workers are burning parliaments down or striking for better wages, they are shot and jailed (Hello, Marikana) but when 50 whips in office are found corrupt, they are involved in long-winded, private litigation, if any at all. The unravelling of the fabric of society, thread by thread, is done in the highest parts of Politics and Economics. Yet, when the fabric finally collapses, it is the lowest places that suffer it? And who is asked to bail out these polluted systems? The people, again.

Manufactured disorder is not new. It must be constantly looked out for, as it never really ceases. The powerful do it to distract the not-so powerful. They do it to fool the world into needing them. This, my friends, cannot stand. We must never reel in fear when we see the word chaos in the news. it usually means that someone is in control and is trying to instil fear. The real chaos is never spoken of. There's actually alot more control and manipulation than is ever displayed. I digress with a quote from the late Frank Herbert, a man who truly understood consequences.

Behavioral engineering in all of its manifestations always degenerates into merciless manipulation. It reduces all (manipulators and manipulated alike) to a deadly "mass effect." The central assumption, that manipulation of individual personalities can achieve uniform behavioral reposes, has been exposed as a lie by many species but never with more telling effect than by the Gowachin on Dosadi. Here, they showed us the "Walden Fallacy" in ultimate foolishness, explaining: "Given any species which reproduces by genetic mingling such that every individual is a unique specimen, all attempts to impose a decision matrix based on assumed uniform behavior will prove lethal."
